As Vice President, Domestic OTR, Craig Metz provides leadership for the over the road division of BNSF Logistics including strategic and tactical planning, business development and acquisition integration.
Craig has worked for BNSF Logistics for more than 14 years. He has spent a majority of his career in the logistics industry serving as Director of Operations for Sumark Services as well as working for companies such as Roadway Express and Pittsburgh Logistics.
Craig is passionate about supporting the personal and professional development of the members of his team which is a key to the overall growth of BNSF Logistics.
Craig holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports and camping.
Yancey Bowen is the Vice President, Specialty Services for BNSF Logistics. In his role, Yancey is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the Transportation Execution Services operating team as well as overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure company objectives are achieved related to profitability and customer service.
Yancey is passionate about building strong relationships with our customers by delivering the services and solutions their organizations need in order to be successful. He takes great pride in showcasing the skills of his team through their ability to solve problems for customers by gaining familiarity with their business from the inside out. He places extra importance on giving his employees the opportunity to become well-rounded professionals by offering them the development tools they need to grow along with the organization.
Bowen has worked for BNSF Logistics for more than 16 years. Prior to BNSF Logistics, Yancey served as Vice President of Logistics for Cannon Express. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Arkansas. In his free time, he enjoys time with his family, preferably outdoors.
Robert Sutton serves as Senior Vice President, Projects & Rail for BNSF Logistics. In his role, Robert provides leadership and guides the strategic direction for the wind energy, rail, engineering and international teams.
Robert has worked at BNSF Logistics for more than 15 years. Prior to BNSF Logistics, he began his career in the transportation and logistics industry working for companies such as JB Hunt and Transplace.
What excites Robert the most each day is having the opportunity to create and leverage innovative transportation concepts that positively impact our customers supply chains and bring long-lasting impact on the business.
Robert holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Arkansas. He is a member of the Supply Chain Management Research Center and the Ozark chapter of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. Robert is active in his local community serving as Committee Chairman for Troop 36 of the Boys Scouts of America based in Bentonville, AR.
In his role as Chief Information Officer, Tom Madzy strategically leads the IT team in developing new technology to meet the dynamic conditions of the logistics industry.
Tom is passionate about consistently improving processes within BNSF Logistics by building best-in-class freight and logistics management tools to support our internal users, customers and partners.
Prior to joining BNSF Logistics in 2017, Tom spent more than 13 years as Chief Information Officer for SEKO Logistics leading the development and deployment of internal systems for worldwide shipping, warehousing and order tracking. He also held senior leadership positions at Associated Global Systems and Sundoro Development. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, reading, cooking, and attending sporting events.
