Dan Curtis, President - BNSF Logistics

In his role as President, Dan Curtis focuses on the importance of investing in our people as well as the continuous development of new technology in order to take BNSF Logistics to new heights.

His goal for BNSF Logistics is to provide a great quality of life in a safe and fun environment with ample opportunity for personal and professional growth. He is passionate about BNSF Logistics being a premier place to work by fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace that thrives on the diversity of thought and the personal experience of each employee.

Prior to taking over the role of President in 2018, Dan served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for BNSF Logistics for seven years. He previously held various senior financial leadership positions at Greatwide Logistics Services and key roles at Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst and Ernst & Young. He is using his 25 years of experience in the logistics and financial sectors to drive transformation by cultivating people and technology in innovative ways.

Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Baylor University. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and boating.

Nancee Ronning

Nancee Ronning, Chief Commercial Officer - BNSF Logistics

Nancee Ronning is responsible for developing and leading the company’s integrated commercial go-to-market strategy while working with all areas of the business to deliver transformational results.

Nancee joined BNSF Logistics in 2018 and brought over 15 years of executive experience growing companies faster and in new ways. Nancee served as President for Print Craft, Managing Director, Sales at C.H. Robinsons, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at T-Chek Systems, Vice President, Global Operations and General Manager at Merrill Corporation and various sales, customer experience and operations roles at General Electric Company.

Nancee is passionate about people leveraging their imaginations and unique strengths to create value for their teams, customers, partners, the market and our community. She attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where she earned a bachelor’s of arts in international relations and affairs.

Bill Dering

Bill Dering, Chief Financial Officer - BNSF Logistics

Bill Dering is the Chief Financial Officer at BNSF Logistics, where he is responsible for finance and accounting, strategy, corporate development and treasury and partnering with the business to improve growth. He brings nearly 20 years of leadership experience in strategy, finance, M&A and leading growth and transformational change agendas.

Prior to BNSFL, Bill was the SVP Strategy for WhiteWave Foods. From 2010-2016, Bill held senior roles at the Kellogg Company, where he led M&A and strategy initiatives globally and helped oversee the finances for N. America.

Earlier, Bill was with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and was a partner at a middle-market technology-focused investment bank. Bill holds a B.A. from Miami University (Ohio) and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Bill is based in Dallas with his wife and four children. He enjoys golfing, tennis, and skiing.

Nancy LaMons

Nancy LaMons, Chief People and Diversity Officer - BNSF Logistics

In her role as Chief People and Diversity Officer, Nancy LaMons is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for the talent and culture of BNSF Logistics.

Prior to joining the company, Nancy spent more than 20 years in strategic leadership roles with companies such as Main Event Entertainment, Sprouts Farmers Market, JC Penny, PepsiCo, and General Electric.

Nancy believes that the Purpose and Guiding Principles of BNSF Logistics provide perspective and direction as to how we behave and treat others and are at the heart of what we care about as a company.

Nancy currently serves as a board member for Camp John Marc and actively speaks on topics such as leadership effectiveness, cultural competence and the business case for creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. She earned an MBA in International Human Resources and an Ed.M in Organization and Leadership Development from the University of Illinois. She also holds a bachelor’s in Finance from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio.

In her free time Nancy loves spending time with her family and friends, attending concerts and bike riding.
